Union Pacific Railroad's Rosa La Puente-Flowers Named 2011 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever

Omaha, Neb., June 02, 2011 – The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) recently named Union Pacific Railroad's Rosa La Puente-Flowers a 2011 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever. The award recognizes La Puente-Flowers for success reflecting her educational achievements, business acumen, personal leadership, community involvement and volunteer efforts.

La Puente-Flowers serves Union Pacific as director of strategic sourcing - Supply. She has held roles of increasing responsibility since joining the company 12 years ago as senior analyst - Finance.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Graceland University and earned a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Information Technology, both from Creighton University.

La Puente-Flowers is president of Union Pacific's Latino Employee Network (LEN), one of the company's employee resource groups of which she is a founding member. LEN's mission is to recruit, retain, and advance the careers of Latino employees within Union Pacific by fostering personal and professional growth of its members. LEN also supports Latino communities with various outreach programs.
