Union Pacific Railroad's Jacqueline White Recognized by Diversity MBA Magazine

Omaha, Neb., July 29, 2010Diversity MBA Magazine named Union Pacific Railroad's Jacqueline White to its 2010 list of Top 100 Under 50 Diverse Executive & Emerging Leaders. White, Union Pacific's assistant vice president – Strategic Sourcing, was recognized by the magazine for factors including corporate leadership, scope of responsibility, civic achievement and advanced degrees.

"Under Jacqueline's leadership, Union Pacific implemented an award-winning supplier diversity program, providing supplier development and business networking opportunities, while strengthening the company's purchasing base," said Joe O'Connor, vice president – Supply. "We appreciate Jacqueline's leadership on this and many other initiatives, and commend her on the well-deserved recognition."

White has been employed at Union Pacific for 17 years and was appointed assistant vice president – Purchasing in 2003. In 2008, she assumed her current responsibilities, which include strategic sourcing for $2 billion in spend for rolling stock, locomotive and freight car parts and services, work equipment leases, and managing the supplier diversity program. Prior to joining the railroad, she worked for several years in finance for a Fortune 500 consumer and pet food manufacturer.

White received her MBA in 1996 from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Tuskegee University in 1985.

The Top 100 Under 50 Diverse Executive & Emerging Leaders list will be published in the  Diversity MBA Magazine August edition.
