How to Consolidate a Shipment

Combining Material

  • Gather all material for any UPRR location and package accordingly.
  • If weight is more than 120 lbs, total weight combined for 1 destination, ltl routing applies(even if shipping in seperate packages).
  • Each order must be kept separate and contain a packing list. Example: If there are two UPS orders and one pallet of LTL going to different locations, do not mix the UPS orders in with the pallet of LTL.

Bill of Lading Preparation

  1. Fill out only one bill of lading per day,per destination.
  2. Consignee field should read for LTL shipments:

    Union Pacific Railroad
    % UPS Ground Freight
