Effective January 1, 2011, Union Pacific will increase our Private Empty Car Storage (PECS) fee to $50.00 perNet Chargeable Storage Day for agricultural, chemicals, and industrial products shipments that move in privately-owned equipment on Union Pacific. Net Chargeable Storage Day is equal to the total number of debits assessed, minus the number of credits issued to customer. The new PECS fee will be reflected in tariff documents on our website approximately 30 days in advance of the effective date.
