Lisa and I wish to thank all who attended the 2013 Union Pacific Reunion, and welcome those who will be attending in 2014. We thank all who helped us and also the many who donated prizes for the raffle.
All events will be held in the Mardi Gras Room at the Colorado Belle Hotel in Laughlin, NV, the week of March 2, 2014.
There will be a hospitality event on Tuesday, March 4th from 5pm until 7pm, with a special price of $3 for well drinks & domestic beer. The banquet will be Wednesday March 5th, with a cocktail hour at 5pm and dinner at 6pm. Drink prices will be the same as Tuesday night. Meal choices are Prime Rib ($35), Fillet of Salmon ($28), & Chicken Picatta ($28). Banquet reservations must be made and full payment received by February 26, 2014, and any meal changes must be made by that date.
Rooms may be reserved at the Colorado Belle Hotel-Casino for $22 a night from Sun. March 2nd through Thursday March 6th, 2014. Friday March 7th the rate goes up to $50. You must make your own reservation by calling 1-800-677-4837 using group code “Union Pacific Reunion”. Room reservations must be made by February 15, 2014 in order to receive these rates. You may cancel any time prior to 48 hours before arrival date to with no charge.
There is free RV parking, however no camping is allowed. There are no regularly scheduled flights into Bullhead City, AZ. You can check with Sun City Airlines at 1-800-359-6786 to see what their current schedule is.
Anyone wishing to play golf on Wednesday March 6, should contact Randy Derryberry by February 2nd. Randy has offered to help set up tee times for those who would like to play.
Each year there is a raffle the night of the banquet with items that have been donated, including some that have been hand crafted such as wood-work items and stained glass. Without these generous donations, the prizes would have to be purchased. If you have something to donate, please bring it to the reunion. Revenue from the raffle helps support the reunion, & tickets will be sold Tuesday & Wednesday evenings.
Remember, this is for all present, former, or retired UPRR employees and their families and friends. If you know of anyone who is not on the mailing list, please make a copy of this letter and invite them to join us. We would appreciate this letter being posted at UPRR terminals. These letters will be mailed out to those on the mailing list the first part of January 2014.
