Employees Affected by Hurricanes Should Call Help Line

All Union Pacific employees whose primary residence is uninhabitable following the recent hurricanes are asked to contact UP's Hurricane Help Line at 877-877-2567, Option 1.

The help line is staffed from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday. It will provide a central point to help employees report their dwelling-related emergencies.

"We want employees to call so we can help re-establish contact and assist them and their families with any return-to-work concerns," said Jim Bell, general manager-Operating Services. "The help line will work together with local supervisors, CMS, Timekeeping, Employee Assistance, Peer Support and the Friend-To-Friend Network to support our hardest-hit railroad families."

Employees who are able to return to their primary residence and have lost wages during the suspended operations will be allowed to use vacation or personal leave time, applied by contacting their Timekeeping representative.
