Get Out the Vote

Your Vote Counts

We are a nation made up of many voices – and on Election Day, every voice counts. Our country was built on the belief that a democratic process is the foundation of a government of the people. Mark your calendar for the elections being held in your state.

  • Register Today
Be sure you are registered to vote before elections are held in your state. Deadlines vary from state to state. Most states have online registration available through the Secretary of State offices.
  • Get Out and Vote in the Primary and General Elections
On Election Day, voting is your most important job. Voting takes only a few minutes. When you vote, you not only choose your public servant, you express your individual point of view. Exercise a privilege. . . your right . . . your responsibility.

  • Get an Absentee Ballot or Vote Early if You’re Traveling
If you think you may be traveling away from home on Election Day, you may be able to vote early or get an absentee ballot and vote by mail. Deadlines for requesting this option vary by state, so don’t delay in contacting the officials in your state.
