History

The company purchased the 154 miles from UP on June 27, 2003. UP acquired the line in the UP/SP merger.  This is a former Denver, Rio Grande and Western line.  On December 22, 2005, RailAmerica sold SLRG to Permian Basin Railway, Inc.
