History
These lines are former Missouri Pacific branch lines. The lines from Harlingen to Mission and Mission to Hidalgo were leased to Rio Valley Railroad in March 1993. The line from McAllen to Edinburg was leased in September 1997. The line from Harlingen to Rogers Lacy was a former SP line and was leased in November, 2004. The lines are operated by Rio Valley Switching Company.
