Minnesota Southern Railway MSWY #537
Nature of Firm
MSWY operates freight service from a connection with UP at Agate, MN to a connection with BNSF at Manley, MN, a distance of 41 miles.
This line was abandoned in 1988 by Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Company. Subsequently, the Buffalo Ridge Regional Railroad Authority (BRRRA) bought the line. Nobles Rock Railroad leased and operated the line from 1993 to 2000, when the railroad became insolvent. In December 2000, MSWY leased and began operations over the line.
