KRR operates freight service from a connection with UP at Hope, AR to Lakeside, OK, (186 miles), then via trackage rights (20 miles) to a connection with BNSF at Madill, OK. A branch runs from Antlers, OK through Hugo to Paris, TX (45 miles). Additional connections are made with KCS at Ashdown, AR; with DQE at Valliant, OK; and with UP at Durant, OK. Traffic includes coal, lumber, paper, chemicals, cement, pulpwood, feed and food products.

History

This is a former BN/St. Louis-San Francisco line. The Paris branch opened in 1887. On July 22, 1987, KRR started operations on the 230-mile former BN trackage in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. RailAmerica purchased the StatesRail subsidiary in January 2002.
