CVYR operated freight service from a connection with UP at Gurdon, AR to Bird Mill, AR (52 miles). CVYR is no longer in business.

History

The Norman Branch was built by the Gurdon & Ft. Smith Railroad, chartered in 1900. In 1909, it came under control of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern (MP). The line was sold to Arkansas Midland Railway Company in 1992, and was sold to CVYR in 2000. In 2011, CVYR abandoned the line from Gurdon, AR to Birds Mill, AR. AKMD reacquired a three-mile section from Gurdon, AR to MP 429.45 north of Gurdon.
