Blackwell Northern Gateway Railroad Company BNGR #041
Nature of Firm
BNGR operates 35.26 miles of the rail line owned by the State of Oklahoma between Blackwell, OK and Hunnewell, KS plus another trackage at Wellington, KS via the BNSF.
BNR was incorporated on April 5, 2000 and started service over the line on November 4, 2002, replacing the prior operator, South Kansas and Oklahoma RR.
BNGR replaced the BNR in November 2005 and is owned by the Blackwell Industrial Authority (BIA) and Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). This line is operated by US Rail Partners, Ltd. and serves the Blackwell Industrial Park at its south end. At the north, connections are made at Wellington, KS with BNSF Railway and, via BNSF, the Union Pacific.
Blackwell Northern Gateway Railroad (BNG) provides transloading opportunities thru Transload Partners USA. Located centrally between Wichita, KS and Tulsa and Oklahoma City, OK, this location provides an ideal central distribution point for products destined for all three population centers.
