Short Line Advisory Group
Union Pacific's Short Line Advisory Group was established in 1998 for the purpose of providing feedback to Union Pacific from the Short Line community on issues between UP and its Class III connections. The Advisory Group is currently made up of seven members chosen by the Short Line community, each person representing about 30 Union Pacific connecting short line railroads. Rich Timmons, President of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) became a member in 2003. The Advisory Group meets monthly and with Union Pacific quarterly.
