During your conversation with a Union Pacific representative, you will be reviewing these important topics:
1. Track Agreements
Any industry track, leased track or team track that Union Pacific serves must first be covered by a written agreement (Track Agreement) with the shipper, consignee or care-of party. The Track Agreement covers ownership, operation, maintenance, safety, liability and other guidelines relative to the track.
2. Telling Your Representative You Want to "Move on a Rate"
If you are moving your product with a Public rate, you are free to ship immediately so long as you have executed the appropriate Track Agreement for the track(s) to be used. Public rates can be found at Web Price & Transit Inquiry.
3. Information on Loading Correctly, Blocking and Bracing
