TransBorder
TransBorder service is an all-rail service offers intermodal service in rail and shipper furnished equipment between U.S./Canadian ramps and specific Mexican. Shipments travel in-bond, clearing customs at interior Mexican origins and destinations. Customers have the option of arranging for local drayage in Mexico or having Union Pacific arrange delivery for them.
TransBorder means that a shipment will not stop at the border but instead moves through it to its destination where it clears customs. All trailer traffic originating on either the UP or the TFM, destined for either CN or CPRS destinations, will be handled on a Rule 11 basis.
