REZ-1 Overview

REZ-1 is an independent agent that handles all reservations and billing functions for EMP customers with a centralized system to manage assets through the Internet. The REZ-1 site provides real time information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and enables customers to make equipment reservations, track equipment and maintain equipment charges. This is backed by a 365 day a year customer service center and a finance/accounting group that performs billing, collection and financial reporting services for customers.

ChannelSpeed Overview

ChannelSpeed is REZ-1's powerful and customizable customer reservation tool for the EMP program. ChannelSpeed assists customers in container reservations, reservation management, automatic bill payment and reporting. This product also offers real time electronic support for customer inquires.

Union Pacific EMP Reservation Options

Using REZ-1 and ChannelSpeed, shippers utilizing EMP have the flexibility of several reservation options.

Advanced Booking  An Advanced Booking Request is a request to make a reservation days in advance of the pickup date. An Advanced Booking Request does not guaranteed a reservation, but you will receive priority consideration for the day of your request.  No 
Guaranteed Container  A Guaranteed Container allows a customer to guarantee a reservation for a unit based on a request made days in advance of the pickup date. Guaranteed Container prices vary by ramp, seasonal demand and equipment size. Guaranteed Container Requests are made 2-7 days prior to the pickup date. Customers receive their reservation numbers via e-mail on the pickup date.  Yes 
BlueStreak  BlueStreak is Union Pacific's premier intermodal service and is available for EMP equipment on Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern. A BlueStreak request may be made 2-7 days prior to the pickup date. There are limits on how many BlueStreak requests are accepted per day at a ramp. BlueStreak requests must be rail-billed with BlueStreak SuperFlyer or Expedited Plus SCQ or NSPQ.  No
