Colorado

Colorado customers are served by east-west and north-south lines that carry freight to all parts of UP's 23-state system. Union Pacific operates more than 30 trains a day in the state. Amtrak also provides passenger service over Union Pacific, connecting Denver with California.
Primary commodities handled by Union Pacific in the state include grain, automobiles and trucks, consumer and manufactured goods and coal. UP also serves a major automobile distribution center just north of Denver, where new automobiles are delivered for sale throughout the mountain and high plains states.
Union Pacific's top customers in Colorado are United Parcel Service, General Motors and Schneider National Carriers; with Tennessee Valley Authority, Kennecott Energy and ColoWyo Coal generating the majority of the coal shipments.
